The Spring of 2019.

The Spring of 2019 has arrived.

One sign of Spring is that Silver is curious on what’s outside and I let him explore.

Other signs are all the new buds, pollen and flowers.

New walking paths for me with the students I work with.

Melting snow.

Coffee, or the first Ice cream or the first Strawberries for the season.

Even Silver likes Strawberries.

The morning light… 😊 even though some mornings still have negative degrees.

The fresh colours.

It’s all new again.

The contrast between durty soil and green leafs.

The bright morning Sun light.

The new life in the nature is conrast to all the snow we have had and that makes me happy!

How a tree can grow out of a rock..

And all of this is made by our heavenly Father. He knows his thing about Colours, Fashion, Nature and what apeels to us human.

Details.

My life gets better with details specially when it comes to something I make. Just like God is all about details in our lifes.

I ordered a new year diary, a calender for this year. I ordered a blue and recieve a pink. I dislike pink.

I had a saying many years; “Nothing that is pink will get into my house. Mostly because I hate/dislike that colour. I have never liked it. It doesn’t fit me.” But as the years went by I have realized that, sometimes I will get it into my house rather I like it or not. Then it’s up to me to change the details if I can.

Yesterday I placed my sewingmachine on a table, found a fabric I like and started to sew.

This is a bad picture (above) I know. I took it for a reason. To show you how the details are importent. You can if you look closely see the details. How we are the mirrow of our faith or how blurry we might be infront of Dad. !But Dad can show us our details in our lifes if we want that.

The old cover is pink and made off a soft material quite easy to sew fabric on. 😊

Above here, you see the contrast between my fabric and the soft plastic-silicon material.

And under … You see my first round of sewing…

…a straight line and realizing that wouldn’t hold so I had to use zick-zack. Above is the inside belove is the outside.

This pattern is so me I don’t just like the pattern in this fabric I like the color combination and the fact that it is nature-friendly and eco-friendly.

The material is linen. 😍😍

I like to think that Dad made us in a “good material” so He can help us to use the material/fabric that fits whatever weather we have around us. To help us find the details He wants to give us.

Is it a sewingmachine to everyone? Probably not.

But we have and can find knowledge and inspiration for our lifes when we are with Him. We just need to ask for help and guideness toward where He wants us or ask Him for those details He has for us.

Dad has given me lots of creativity and I love it. Even on a “bad body day” can I be creative. I can write about it like I do now, I can find inspiration and keep it in my scrapbook. On a “good body day” I sew. 😍

If you want inspiration ask Dad for it. Ask Him for your details.

It can be things you already know but maybe got forgotten or things you are waiting on. Have patience and trust Him WHO are guiding your life.

Autumn, my season

I love the Autumn and have since I was a kid. It is something about all the colours, the rain and the air.

It gives me more energy then any other season. For me it’s a positive time.

I love the Autumn rain because it most the time comes fast, hard and leave most the time fast but I also like it when it’s rains for day’s. It’s something beautiful with rain.

But it’s also all about all those beautiful colours! The nature has in my eyes a special power when it comes to colours. Just how different all kind of leafs changes colours from Day to Day is a WOW feeling!

How a flower which is both blooming and over-blooming and still is so beautiful.

Or when a leaf goes from green to red!

How beautiful a yellow feld can be…

And how a waterstreem flows through a subarea and the sound of it give you harmony just pasting it above it..

How beautiful it is to walk with trees on both sides that shifting in colours ☺ or pasting this with the contrast.. 😉

It gives me lots of inspiration, Joy and energy even if I have a bad day or a cold. 😉

Who can not like or love this?

Colorexperimenting without chemicals at home.

How often do you  think “can I color at home without chemicals?” Like old day’s. Or how do I do it?

I’ve been on Google searching for this. I found out that one way to figure it out is to actually try by your self. Just remember to ad 1 spoon of salt when you boil it! I boiled each color for minimum 20 minutes.

I wanted to find out if I could coloring at home without chemicals mostly because I know the chemicals isn’t good for me, the fabric or the environment.

I chosed to try red onion

I can’t say it colored much but it was white before.

Saffron ..

Green tea…

Curry …

Coffee-beans and filter coffee ..

Remember to ad 1 spoon of salt when you wash it afterwards and together with similar colors in the machine.

Have fun!

Project Wardrobe.

Project Wardrobe.

I started my wardrobe project about a year ago in my head, because when I moved in here in my apartment about 3,5 years ago I realized that the wardrobe was build in to the wall like you probably did in the 1950’s. Probably also a man who did it because it was not really a good place to have it or good design or function for modern time. It was at least not what I needed. So i asked my Land Lord if I could demolish it and do something else in that corner. And he said yes.

The time fly by and I started it this Autumn.

The whole project has just been a “breathing whole” between the days of applying for a job. It is one of my ways to be creative. And to finally “grab” this project has also more then just one good benefit after when I’m done. I will have a new sewing-corner and finally a table to sit and write my applications or blog which I have not ever had since I moved in here. And for the one who move’s in here after me will be able to have a Kitchen-corner.

#StepOne. 10th of September-15. This picture is from the beginning of the demolition. One door is off and the wall in between have I started to saw to get out.

#StepTwo. 19th of September-15. On this pictures have I finally removed both doors is off and the groundwork with putty all the uneven surfaces in the wall and paper-sanding starts. And with my body (which is not the best right now) this part took a bit longer time then I thought it would take. But in the same time I did not need to stress, I did not have a deadline of when it had to be done.

#StepThree. 21st of September-15. Is ground-painting with white color for whatever color I could decide to pick. And I did not just paint daytime. No no, I am a night-owl so I do it when I am more “awake” which most the times are after 9 pm. So those days did most of it happen “by night”. And as long as I don not have a day-time work I do most things whatever it is when after 7 pm.

And in between of this bigger project, did I finished a smaller creative project I started in August to a friend-couple. More just because I wanted it out of the way but also because they kind of needed to get before the time was out.

#StepFour. 29th of September-15. This day was the day when I went to one of the stores were you here in Norway go to buy color. Maxbo is the name. They have everything you need for whatever you do inside or outside on your house. I had decided what kind of color I wanted and took the bus there. It was a very nice Autumn day with sunshine and all the lovely colors in the trees. But when I came in to Maxbo, and chatted with one of the “painting cow workers” this guy told me the color was to dark for the painting-machine to make. Oh no !! What shall I do now? I just could not decide there and then so I had to go back home and think. And time to think I got but I kind of decided on my way back. Got realistic and said to myself “just get the lightest version of the color”. This was a Tuesday. I decided to try to go back on the Friday the same week but I did not manage. And the week after I got fever and could not go…. So there I were, I just wanted to start with the painting.

#StepFive. Two weeks after the first trip to Maxbo, this Monday the 12th of October-15, was I “back in business” and without fever. So I went there after some other errands in town. I got my color and went home Happy.

#StepSix. Painting-day. Happy. Finally could I start. The rest of Monday 12th of October (after 13 o’clock) did I paint. Luck-ally was the paint dry after 2 hours for a new layer. Times fly by so much faster when you do have something fun to do!

20151012_140748   20151012_192553

#StepSeven. Tuesday the 13th of October (yesterday when I write this) was all about to put the furniture’s in place. To finally get my sewing-corner on place, make a “TV-corner” that I never have had before either. The only thing I miss now is to have somewhere or something nicer then the chairs to sit and watch the “television”.

I still have some things to fix like the last layer of color on the walls, a new layer of floor, screw up the mirror and drill and screw up the grid on the walls, but I can at least sit and work at the table now.
