March 2nd 24 a good mix of needling fabric, walking to & back from the grocery store and gardening 💪💪.

This once was a shirt now I hope this will work.

First step.
Tryed to sew ‘edges’.

I will have a small break, need to go (as in walk) to the grocery store before I can start to sew. I hope it works as I wish 🤞🤞🤞.

✔️ my back did good on my walk home with a heavy backpack (approxy 8-10kilogram)

and some extra energy in my body I did some gardening

Before.
After the exercise to rake all those leaves 🍂🍁 out of this space in this garden.  I used one hour! 💪💪🥵🥵
2 off those was filled and lot’s more needs to being taken care of but not today.

Was out for 1 hour and 20 minutes 💪💪💪🥵😊.  In the couch, where I’m now resting mostly the back, so ready for a shower and dinner. But dinner has to wait because I need to make it before I eat it…

New plastic boxes – better system in my sewingroom.

Today I went out and bought 7 new plastic boxes for my sewingroom, to get a better system for all my fabric 😍😍. Love it!

As soon as I get my salary (12th every month)  will I order shelfs!  But this, just the boxes, helps so much. I know I need few more to be where I want it. One step at the time = patience.

Learning by misstakes, part 2.

So I went to my candycstore – selfmade – and bought what I needed and asked about the pattern. How to understand it and how it actually is gonna look, how to cut it right and then what kind of fabric I need under.

A lady helped me with all my questions 😊😊

And when I got home I started to cut new pieces and for one piece I had sew two together a seam you only notice when you know it’s there 😊

And I’ve overlocked all the pieces tonight.

Tomorrow comes the big challenge to sew all pieces together 🤪 a challenge I am both looking forward to and are totally scarred for.

But here are tonight’s picture after the folding the fabric right, cutting of new pieces, overlocking.

Folding the fabric right.
The edges fit each other 😊
Finished overlocking.

Happiness.

From curtain length to a simple dress.

Here it comes 🤩🤩🤩🤩 the Blue curtain length. Today’s 3rd project and I am so happy I did it 🤩🤩🤩.

I did my style. A bit wider in the neck and a fold-over-point a bit lower then my waist, just because it looked better when I tryed it on. Next picture is from the orginal pattern.

Details.

My life gets better with details specially when it comes to something I make. Just like God is all about details in our lifes.

I ordered a new year diary, a calender for this year. I ordered a blue and recieve a pink. I dislike pink.

I had a saying many years; “Nothing that is pink will get into my house. Mostly because I hate/dislike that colour. I have never liked it. It doesn’t fit me.” But as the years went by I have realized that, sometimes I will get it into my house rather I like it or not. Then it’s up to me to change the details if I can.

Yesterday I placed my sewingmachine on a table, found a fabric I like and started to sew.

This is a bad picture (above) I know. I took it for a reason. To show you how the details are importent. You can if you look closely see the details. How we are the mirrow of our faith or how blurry we might be infront of Dad. !But Dad can show us our details in our lifes if we want that.

The old cover is pink and made off a soft material quite easy to sew fabric on. 😊

Above here, you see the contrast between my fabric and the soft plastic-silicon material.

And under … You see my first round of sewing…

…a straight line and realizing that wouldn’t hold so I had to use zick-zack. Above is the inside belove is the outside.

This pattern is so me I don’t just like the pattern in this fabric I like the color combination and the fact that it is nature-friendly and eco-friendly.

The material is linen. 😍😍

I like to think that Dad made us in a “good material” so He can help us to use the material/fabric that fits whatever weather we have around us. To help us find the details He wants to give us.

Is it a sewingmachine to everyone? Probably not.

But we have and can find knowledge and inspiration for our lifes when we are with Him. We just need to ask for help and guideness toward where He wants us or ask Him for those details He has for us.

Dad has given me lots of creativity and I love it. Even on a “bad body day” can I be creative. I can write about it like I do now, I can find inspiration and keep it in my scrapbook. On a “good body day” I sew. 😍

If you want inspiration ask Dad for it. Ask Him for your details.

It can be things you already know but maybe got forgotten or things you are waiting on. Have patience and trust Him WHO are guiding your life.

Colorexperimenting without chemicals at home.

How often do you  think “can I color at home without chemicals?” Like old day’s. Or how do I do it?

I’ve been on Google searching for this. I found out that one way to figure it out is to actually try by your self. Just remember to ad 1 spoon of salt when you boil it! I boiled each color for minimum 20 minutes.

I wanted to find out if I could coloring at home without chemicals mostly because I know the chemicals isn’t good for me, the fabric or the environment.

I chosed to try red onion

I can’t say it colored much but it was white before.

Saffron ..

Green tea…

Curry …

Coffee-beans and filter coffee ..

Remember to ad 1 spoon of salt when you wash it afterwards and together with similar colors in the machine.

Have fun!

Sewing projects during the the spring and summer …

I know very well its been a long time since I wrote anything here. I have been in both a course and work experience and not enough energy to update. Life is not always about the blogging sometimes its just to be able to get the feet on the floor and do what necessary to do.

I have been sewing a bit here and there since last blog-post, so I will this time share the pictures of whats been started and some of it also finished.

This project is a homemade purse, as far as I have done..Inspiration of the one I have but off course with more colors. The fabric is both bought and printed in Dalarna, Sweden.

This is pattern to sew, something I never used before mostly because I have never ever been sewing cloths not even during the school-time. So I have to start somewhere and I don’t have such big apartment so I have to use my kitchen floor.

I will try to blog a bit more about my experience how hard it is to sew cloths without any kind of experience of that field.
