Summer break 2025. Adventure. Part 4 of 7 days.

Wednesday July 23rd.

Starting later today but with breakfast and Coffee on the “balcony”. It’s a bit more grey clouds this morning but the around the same temperature (+23°C) 10 am.

Today’s goal is the botanical garden.  Something the both of us love. I don’t have much that looks like a garden at home… but always dream of something I can make a garden in or off. And today we’ll walk in a huge garden and receive even more idea’s or just inspiration for a future garden 😉.

The weather forecast today is grey and cloudy but it’s predicted to be up to +28°C even today. A good day for this kind of adventure!

We catch a local bus down to Brunnsparken and switch to a tram towards The botanical garden. We took tram nr 2.
This is the area = the garden.

We past the gates 12pm. And stroll slowly through this magnificent garden. We had really good weather! A good combination of ⛅️🌤☀️ and wind and a temperature between +23° and +26°C.

And here are some of the flowers I liked…

Through the school garden and interesting tree garden…

… I had to stop to cool down my feet’s…

Our lunch around 2pm in the shadow 😊.

After the lunch we walked towards the Japanese garden.

And when we came to a fence we thought we would end up in an other smaller garden but we didn’t 😆. We walked through the Nature Reserve and ended up in a street with houses 😆😆 and had to walk back the to the garden once more.

The Nature Reserve.

And now it was time for 🚻 (toilet facility) and water to cool down, rest on the grass and ice cream. And a kind-of-power-nap in the grass.

While laying in the grass the wind got stronger and suddenly we heard the thunderstorm getting closer. (Around 3 – 3.30 pm). And had to walk faster to not get wet from the sudden 🌧 rain 😆.

Tram back into the city but not to Nordstan, but to Grønsakstorget (the vegitable square). Rain pooring down and yes we didn’t take our Rain jacket with us 😆.  Grocery shopping and walking in the rain to the closest tram stop to get back to the hotel.

On the tram back into the city.
Waiting on a tram after grocery shopping.

Late dinner out on our ” balcony ” and yatzy with wine in the chill breeze after the thunderstorm and rainbow 😊. A perfect evening!

A small, short and intens trip. Part 1 of 3.

I have to get a new Passport. Meaning I need to go to Sweden! …🤪🤐 I made a call in August to book an apointment in October.

Bought 🎫tickets in September.

My ✈flight left Stavanger 09.40 am today Sunday 9th to Oslo. Can’t say I slept much during the night 🤪😴. I dislike airports! Get so stressed of the onboarding & waiting 😣. The flight was okay.

Relaxed walked I from the gate to the train stop bought the ticket for the 🚉 and had 10 min b4 the train arrived.

Hungry! When I arrived Oslo at 11.30 am. Had breakfast at 07.15 – 07.40! So…a burger helped a lot. 😊.

Bought an 24-hour ticket to get around in Oslo. Tryed than to figure out which transport to catch (metro, bus or tram). I catch a tram to a area called Solli and right now I enjoy a coffee latte (12.21-13.20 ish) in hope to stay awake. Cause right now I am tired!! From lack of a good sleep 😣😣.

Next stop is Marcus Church, to catch up with the friends I’ll stay with during my intens trip. And I am looking 4ward to visit them. And this trip to Oslo & Sweden is the first since I moved to Rogaland, Stavanger in August 2021.

Trying to get the little boy to sleep while the parents get some lunch after Church.

Being a bonus auntie is good for both me and the parantes. I’ll get to know the kid and the parantes, close friends of mine, can have a break and be a couple. 😉

Haircut & walking in Grünerløkka,Oslo.

Yesterday I had to go to bed early (before 12 pm) to be able to wake up before 8 am this morning.. I did wake up in time.☺ Did my normally things and went out to catch the bus at 9.11 am and that was just about I reached it!
I took the bus to Storo and switch to the tram, even if I thought about walk a bit I didn’t. Not because I was lazy no more because I wasn’t quite sure where to walk and how long time it would take. So I reached Birkelunden tram stop and had enough time to buy and eat breakfast in a park nearby in the ☀️ on a bench. At 10 am I crossed the street and into the hairdresser Dugg, sat down and talked to the guy of what I wanted and he started with showered my head with Shampoo, an hair mask and the conditioner. And then he asked me if and what I wanted to drink. Coffee please. 😉

😉 But I got an Cafe Latte, it worked too.

And then he started to cut. He is a second year learning to become a hairdresser. For sure someone I’ll use again!

Two and a half hour later I was done. With a style I like! Fun and cool and not like anyone else 😉

I went out and start to walk down hill.. I wanted to find mail-office but didn’t 😕 so I walked different streets on Grünerløkka to the Aker River.

..went to Vulkan area and into the Food Market and bought an Paradis ice-cream before I visit “my hotel” had a chat with the guys there and continue walking…

Black cherry Ice-cream 😊

Street-view along Aker River…

Art in the stream..

Colorful houses on the top of Aker River..

Ducks…

Actic 🏋 the gym … interval walking 😉

Plenty if walking today! Not the best back to walk with but in the same time I think it’s better to walk (and it’s nice) then just sit still. Over 9000 steps which for me is good (my limit is between 5000 – 6000 steps on a good Day).
