If you visit Stavanger I recommend you to visit Utstein monastery! Easiest way to get there is to rent a car otherwise it will be a lot of walking because the buses doesn’t go that often.
It’s from the 12th century. Here comes pictures to inspire you.
I also visit Utstein Pilgrim farmhouse, and walked the 1,5km from the monastery with a lovely view!
